March 12th

On this day, in 1930, Mahatma Gandhi started his Dandi March to protect the citizen’s rights to produce salt.

This sparked a revolution that eventually led us to the midnight of 15th August 1947. There isn’t a better example to showcase how #alittlechange can make a huge difference.

GAP and #alittlechange

Global Action on Poverty builds and supports changemaking communities to eradicate poverty. Our Changemakers are working on various projects that eradicate poverty in their communities in the areas of Agriculture, Education, Livelihoods & Enterprise, Water, Sanitation, Energy, Healthcare & Financial Inclusion.

And every Changemaker’s journey starts with #alittlechange.

#alittlechange belongs to you

#alittlechange is an idea created by GAP in its fight against poverty, but the idea belongs to you and all of us. It is only when millions of brilliant #alittlechange sparks come together, we can create a fire of change around the world. From March 12th - 19th, individuals, organizations and institutions are conducting various #alittlechange events across the country. Go ahead and create a shining example, and upload pictures/videos of your own #alittlechange initiative on GAP’s Facebook Page and inspire the next million.
